4 Jun – Having lost its previous actor for the role of Pennywise the clown, the "It" movie reboot has finally found a new actor to fill in the big shoes. Swedish actor Bill Skarsgård is currently in talks to play the evil clown, according to Variety. The 25-year-old is reportedly the top choice for the part. Skarsgård will be replacing "The Maze Runner" actor Will Poulter, who was supposed to have played the role last year. However, the project was halted when director Cary Fukunaga left. Poulter was unable to commit to it further as he would be busy filming other movies, including "Maze Runner: The Death Cure". Andres Muschietti ("Mama") has since joined the project as director and rewrote the movie's script. "It" will be a big movie for Skarsgård if he were to take the offer. Skarsgård, the brother of Alexander Skarsgård ("The Legend of Tarzan") and son of Stellan Skarsgård ("Avengers: Age of Ultron"), was most recently seen in "The Divergent Series: Allegiant". "It", adapted from Stephen King's novel, is planned as a two-part movie, with the first part focusing on the children terrorised by the evil clown, and the second part focusing on the children who are now adults and have returned to face their monster. "It" is scheduled for release in North America on 28 September 2017.
