Dan Stevens in "The Raid" director's next movie

Dan Stevens in "The Guest".

4 Nov - Ever since we saw his "Raid" movies, we knew filmmaker Gareth Evans was one to look out for to sate our thirst for great action movies.

Now the Welsh director is working on a revenge thriller called, "Apostle", and it sounds nothing short of being just as action-fueled as his popular Indonesian action films.

Evans is writing and directing the period film about a man who travels to a remote island to rescue his sister who has been kidnapped by a religious cult. The man's though resolve to rescue her forms a big part of the story.

Possibly playing the lead could be "Beauty and the Beast" star, the Beast himself, Dan Stevens, who is currently in negotiations.

If all pans out well, we're sure that "Apostle" could be one to look out for. Remember how good Stevens was with his role in Adam Wingard's "The Guest"? Paired with the action bloodthirsty Evans, this would be a dream for thriller lovers everywhere.

Variety reports that the film aims to start production in March 2017, so the earliest we could expect the film would be in 2018.

But before that, audiences can catch Dan Stevens in Disney's live-action "Beauty and the Beast" which comes to cinemas in March 2017.
