5 Apr – Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol-starrer, "Dilwale", may have brought back the Bollywood film fever when it was shown locally, but India doesn't seem to be in agreement. The movie was recently named Worst Film at the Golden Kela Awards, an awards ceremony not unlike the Golden Raspberry Awards of Hollywood. According to Utusan Online, "Dilwale" beat four other movies, namely "Bombay Velvet", "Shaandaar", "Tever" and "Singh is Bling", in the category for most lackluster work and acting in Hindi cinema. Meanwhile, the song "Gerua" won the Sangh Parivaar award. The awards ceremony, now in its eighth edition, saw the movie "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" receiving the most awards, including Worst Actress (Sonam Kapoor), Worst Director (Sooraj Barjatya), Bas Kijiye Bahut Ho Gaya award and Most Irritating Song of the Year.
