28 Apr – MBO Cinemas has announced that MBO KSL City at Johor Bahru will be temporarily closed effective from today, 28 April 2016. The location has to be closed down following a fire incident at KSL City Mall last night. "Our outlet and the entire mall are closed due to unforeseen circumstances until further notice," said MBO Cinemas Marketing Assistant Manager Suthan Tangabello when contacted by Cinema Online. "But current estimated timeline is at least (2) weeks from today, unofficially, as the situation is still being assessed by the relevant parties." All advance ticket purchases refund will take place from next week onwards. For online purchase, refund will be credited back into customers' accounts within 7 to 14 working days. For walk-in customers, the movie ticket replacement or refund can be done over the counter once the cinema resumes operations. MBO Cinemas will also be offering 'We Are Sorry Vouchers' to affected customers, which can be collected over the counter. UPDATE: MBO KSL City will resume operations today, 29 April, at 6pm.
