11 Aug – The all-female spinoff of "Ocean's Eleven" has added more A-list stars to its already star-studded lineup. Anne Hathaway ("Alice Through the Looking Glass") and Rihanna ("Home") have been confirmed as part of the main cast of "Ocean's Eight", according to Deadline. The two will be joining Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett, who were the first confirmed cast members, as well as Mindy Kaling and Helena Bonham Carter, who have finally closed their deals to star. Also joining the 'pack of thieves' is Awkwafina ("Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising"), American rapper and actress whose real name is Nora Lum. Previously called "Ocean's Ocho", the working title suggested that there will be only eight members in the gang as opposed to eleven as was in the 2001 comedy heist – which in turn was a remake of 1960's "Ocean's 11". The new title, "Ocean's Eight", revealed two months ago, seems to be proving that speculation correct. Casting is still ongoing for the movie, which will be directed by Gary Ross ("The Hunger Games"). A release date has yet to be set for "Ocean's Eight". (Photo source: HelloBeautiful | Vogue)
