21 Nov – There's a new cinema in town! Taiping Mall, Perak, recently saw the opening of a new outlet by Paragon Cinemas on 19 November. Equipped with Dolby Atmos sound system, the eight-hall cinema has a seating capacity of 1212. Up until this 23 November, the cinema is holding free screenings of 2016's biggest blockbusters. The free movies that cinema patrons will be treated to include "Captain America: Civil War", "The Jungle Book", "Zootopia", "The Mermaid", "Ghostbusters", "Munafik" and "Ip Man 3".
Paragon Cinemas Taiping Mall is the third cinema in Taiping, after TGV Cinemas AEON Taiping and MBO Cinemas Taiping Sentral. Taiping Mall is the first location for the new exhibitor, Paragon Cinemas, a second location – KB Mall in Kelantan – is expected to open in the first quarter of 2017.
