22 Dec – The final movie in the "Expendables" franchise is said to be confirmed as Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham and Arnold Schwarzenegger are all expected to return. This was according to The Hollywood Reporter which reported on a distribution company named Splendid obtaining the rights of the film for German speaking European countries which also confirms the production of the film. The site wrote "Splendid Film has picked up rights across German-speaking Europe for "The Expendables 4", the final title in the action franchise starring Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham and Arnold Schwarzenegger." Although none of the movies from the series were praised by critics, the first two movies of the series made huge bucks in box office sales as it garnered more than combined total of USD600 million with the third movie falling short, but still with a decent turnout of USD214.6 million at the worldwide box office. Very little is known about the upcoming hard hitting action film, but it is likely to be rated-R as the "Rocky" star himself said that the main reason for the underperformance of the third film was its PG-13 rating. However, that's not all as according to CinemaBlend, the fun of seeing the 90's and some 80's action movie stars coming together to bring down a villain has lost its magic as the movie is starting to become more of a Sylvester Stallone movie instead of an ensemble movie. It's also not known which members of the increasingly heavy ensemble will return, but fans can certainly lookout for a jaw-dropping action film from Stallone and co once again. The movie is set for release somewhere in 2018.
