23 Feb – If you were around Trafalgar Square on February 21, you may have felt that you've travelled back in time to early 1900s as the tourist hotspot was transformed into a WW1 setting for DC's upcoming "Wonder Woman". Actress Gal Gadot was spotted filming a patriotic truce celebration in the central London site, surrounded by extras dressed in costumes, with Union Jack flags decorating the Square. Besides the fancy costumes, vintage cars were also visible around the area to complete the olden day's vibe. London's iconic busses had to be redirected for about five hours according to Independent.
"The Office" star Lucy Davis was also captured on scene looking rather unrecognisable playing an unknown character for the film. "Wonder Woman" is directed by Patty Jenkins and will also star Robin Wright and Chris Pine, as well as Connie Nielsen as Hippolyta, the mother of the superheroine. Gadot will make her debut as Wonder Woman in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice", which is due for a 25 March release.
In another part of London, Benedict Cumberbatch was spotted in his character's red robe as the Sorcerer Supreme. Chiwetel Ejiofor's Baron Mordo was also on the set. Cumberbatch was previously spotted with a scruffy beard in Nepal filming for the same movie, "Marvel's Doctor Strange". One of the shots features Cumberbatch with an obvious bloody scar on the left side of his face. The Marvel movie's impressive cast also includes Tilda Swinton, Rachel McAdams and Mads Mikkelsen, with "Sinister" helmsman Scott Derrickson directing. The "Sherlock Holmes" actor promised some psychedelic visual effects in the movie. "Doctor Strange" is expected to make its big screen debut this November.
