17 Oct – Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikander are officially married! The famously private pair exchanged their vows in an intimate ceremony, according to PEOPLE, at the luxurious La Granja farmstead resort in Ibiza over the weekend. Romance between the 40-year-old "Assassin's Creed" actor and 29-year-old "Tomb Raider" actress started to bloom while filming "The Light Between Oceans" back in 2014. Movie director Derek Cianfrance had previously commented in Vanity Fair regarding the couple's on and off screen chemistry. "What I saw was two great people who were so supportive of each other, who were really picking each other up, and pushing each other... They were an undeniably good match and they pushed each other. "They were going to make one another better. And they were better together."
While everyone is gushing for wedding details, it is highly unlikely for the tight-lipped couple to spill anything, with both stressing the importance of keeping their relationship private. "I think we've made a clear statement that we keep certain things just between us," Vikander said in a previous Entertainment Weekly interview. "It was very easy to unite, but that's quite personal." "I'm not going to talk about my private life with a total stranger, unless I feel like I need to. Why would I? I don't," Fassbender added. Vikander will be making her debut as Lara Croft when "Tomb Raider" opens next year while fans can catch Fassbender in "The Snowman", which is screening on 7 December 2017 in Malaysia and Singapore, and currently showing in Cambodia.
