19 Aug – Will we finally see Captain Marvel joining Earth's Mightiest Heroes in the fourth "Avengers" movie? According to Atlanta Filming's Twitter, the chances are more than likely, when this post was made on the account earlier: "Hi... #BrieLarson :) (And #ChrisEvans...) Like Chris is an after thought when Brie is here." What seems to be an innocent tweet of informing the arrival of the two stars in Atlanta turns out to be more after fans connect the dots.
First the location – Atlanta – is where the untitled fourth "Avengers" movie is currently filming, and arriving next to Captain America himself definitely strengthen the rumours. As her solo film "Captain Marvel" hasn't started shooting yet, and Peyton Reed's "Ant-Man and the Wasp" and the Russo Bothers' "Avengers" franchise are Marvel's only ongoing productions at the moment, it's a good guess that Larson might make an appearance in the last instalment of the latter franchise. Rumours of the Oscar-winning actress joining the fourth "Avengers" movie have long been swirling around, even after director Joe Russo confirmed she was not to appear in the third instalment. Since Larson's standalone movie is slated to open in March 2019, earlier than the final "Avengers" film which will come out May 2019, it might ease Captain Marvel's addition into the established fan favourite, having had her origin story or solo adventures being told beforehand. That's not the only great news for Marvel's fans. Here's another: the long overdue "Power Pack" might finally be making its way to the big screen.
After first announced back in 2005 of it being turned into a feature-length film, the movie which focuses on the adventure of four siblings, Alex, Julie, Jack and Katie, who are granted powers by an alien, has been sent to the back seat with the studios turning their focus on the likes of "Captain America", "Guardians of the Galaxy" and the "Avengers". Now, That Hashtag Show has brought words that the development plan for "Power Pack" is being revisited with Marvel's veteran producer Jonathan Schwartz given an "executive oversight" on the project. Cautions still entail, however, as nothing about the project has been green-lighted. (Photo source: Brie Larson's Instagram)
