7 Feb – "Split" is a true return to form for director M. Night Shyamalan, whose recent movies prior to it have been lackluster, to say the least. It's come as no surprise then that the psychological thriller is getting a follow-up, as confirmed by the director, who recently posted the following on his Twitter account: "I have an 11 page outline for my next film in my bag. I can't tell you what it is, but if you've seen #Split..." As is the norm with most M. Night Shyamalan productions, "Split" features a twist ending and in this case, it's one that keeps fans on the edge for more. We won't divulge the twist as we're a spoiler-free zone here, but fans who have watched the movie till the end would immediately get the cryptic hint the director has dropped on social media. Will James McAvoy be back to star as Kevin Wendell Crumb, the man with 24 personalities? The probability is high. The follow-up to "Split" might also reunite Shyamalan with at least one more familiar face. "Split" opened in cinemas on 19 January and since then has been enjoying immense success at the box office. Based on Box Office Mojo stats, the movie has collected USD356,830 in Malaysia and USD409,586 in Singapore. It's being received especially well in the U.S., where it recently finished at number one for a third straight weekend in a row. "Split" currently has made USD141.9 million at the global box office.
