Chris Evans talks Captain America plans after "Avengers 4"

Chris Evans will be seen as Captain America up until "Avengers 4".

23 Mar – There is a high possibility that Chris Evans might not return as Captain America after the events of next year's untitled "Avengers" movie.

Evans, who has played the role of the all-American superhero Steve Rogers / Captain America for a total of seven years including this year's "Avengers: Infinity War", told The New York Times that he has no plans to return to the franchise.

"You want to get off the train before they push you off," he said referencing to his time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

The fourth "Avengers" movie finished shooting last year when Marvel Studios filmed two "Avengers" movies back-to-back with reshoots happening sometime late this year.

Evans said that the planned reshoots will be his last time donning the famous red, blue, and white striped suit.

The fictional superhero was first introduced in 2011's "Captain America: The First Avenger" and is one of the founding members of the superhero group Avengers alongside Black Widow, Hawkeye, Hulk, Iron Man, and Thor.

Evans will return as Captain America again in "Avengers: Infinity War", scheduled to release this 25 April in Malaysia and Singapore, and 26 April in Cambodia.
