26 Apr – After starring in numerous movies and giving us many memorable characters, Harrison Ford is about to take on a role he has never done before in his entire life. The 76-year-old actor is set to voice his first-ever animated character in the sequel to 2016's "The Secret Life of Pets", according to Deadline. Although his role is yet to be announced, audiences can expect him to play a grouchy type character similar to his persona in real life. Ford will lead a new group of cast which consists of Nick Kroll, Pete Holmes, Tiffany Haddish, and Patton Oswalt, who is said to replace Louis C.K. after his sexual harassment controversy. Original cast members returning for the sequel are Kevin Hart, Bobby Moynihan, Dana Carvey, Ellie Kemper, Eric Stonestreet, Hannibal Buress, Jenny Slate, and Lake Bell.
It comes as no surprise that the studio behind "The Secret Life of Pets", Illumination Entertainment, would want to make a sequel, considering the movie made over USD875 million worldwide after its release. The sequel will be directed by Chris Renaud and is scheduled for a 7 June 2019 release date across North America.
