20 Feb – The international rights to Malaysian heist drama "Fly By Night" has been picked up by Hong Kong-based sales agent Good Move Media. The movie, currently in its post-production stage, follows a group of taxi drivers and extortionists who are forced into committing crimes to pay off the debts they owe. Perin Petrus and Leonard Tee are producing, while Low Keong, long-time collaborator of the late Yasmin Ahmad, is stepping in as cinematographer, according to Screen Daily. This will be the feature directorial debut of Zahir Omar, who is directing from a script by "Interchange" director Dain Said, co-written with Ivan Yeo and Frederick Bailey. Starring in the movie are Sunny Pang ("Headshot") and Jack Tan ("Shuttle Life"), as well as Bront Palarae ("Pengabdi Setan") who will play a cop in charge of tracking down the criminals.
