4 Jan – Social media is currently abuzz with news of Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth launching the teaser for his upcoming movie, "2.0", right here in Malaysia. It was first brought to attention by Chennai-based journalist Surendhar MK, who posted on his Twitter that the teaser launch is set to be held at the Natchathira Vizha event that Rajinikanth will be attending this Saturday.

Natchathira Vizha 2018 is set to be held on 6 January at Bukit Jalil, which will see a host of Indian artistes performing at the event as well as participating in cricket and football matches. One of the artistes will, of course, be Rajinikanth, hence the reason for his "2.0" teaser to be released at the event as well.
However, don't get your hopes up yet, Rajinikanth fans, as TV channel-turned-online entertainment portal SS Music has a hope-dashing update on its Twitter account. SS Music also posted about the teaser launch at the same time as news of it broke online 12 hours ago (at the time of writing) but it was followed an hour later by a contradicting update, stating that only old visual content that has previously been released will be shown instead at the event.

So fans attending the event, you'll either get new or old content, either way, you'll still get to see Rajinikanth in person. "2.0" serves as the sequel to the actor's 2010 movie, "Endhiran" (also known as "Enthiran" or "Robo"), which also previously held its audio launch back in 2010 in Putrajaya, Malaysia. Rajinikanth reprises his dual role as Doctor Vaseegaran and Chitti in the sequel, co-starring Akshay Kumar as Doctor Richard and Crow Man, and Amy Jackson in an undisclosed role.
