23 Mar – Sony's reboot of "Men in Black" will see Tessa Thompson reuniting with her "Thor: Ragnarok" co-star, Chris Hemsworth.
The movie will feature new lead characters, presumably played by Thompson and Hemsworth, and will be an ensemble instead of just a pairing, unlike the original Agent K (Tommy Lee Jones) and Agent J (Will Smith).
The setting will still be in the contemporary sci-fi world where the previous agents operate, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
It is reported that Hemsworth has yet to close his deal but is expected to.
"Fate and Furious 8" helmer, F. Gary Gray, will be directing the reboot from a script by "Iron Man" scribes, Matt Holloway and Art Marcum.
The movie is set to be released in North America on 14 June 2019.
Besides her amazing performance as Valkyrie in "Thor: Ragnarok", Thompson has appeared in Alex Garland's "Annihilation" and will be seen in the upcoming "Sorry to Bother You", directed by Annapurna.
She will also be playing a pivotal character in the upcoming second season of "Westworld" on HBO, which is set to premiere this spring.
Currently, Thompson is filming "Creed 2" alongside Michael B. Jordan.
