29 Mar – The "Wonder Woman" sequel (working title "Wonder Woman 2") is shaping up to be a superhero movie with a more diverse cast, as Chilean-born actor Pedro Pascal has been added to the lineup in a key role. Most notable for his roles in hit TV series such as "Game of Thrones" and "Narcos", Pascal is confirmed to play an undisclosed character that is pivotal to the movie's plot, Variety reports. Pascal will join Gal Gadot, returning to play the titular superheroine, and Kristen Wiig, who was recently revealed to be the primary villain, Cheetah.
The anticipated sequel will be Pascal and director Patty Jenkins' second time working together, their first project being a TV movie called "Exposed".
Little is known about "Wonder Woman 2" except it continues the story of its 2017 predecessor, which was critically acclaimed and a box office success, making an impressive USD821.9 million collection over a USD149 million budget. While waiting for his appearance in "Wonder Woman 2", scheduled for a 1 November 2019 release date in North America, Pascal can be seen next in three movies this year, namely "Prospect", "The Equalizer 2", and "If Beale Street Could Talk".
