6 Dec – Donnie Yen recently clarified his previous announcement about "Ip Man 4" being his last kung fu films, stressing that it does not mean he will retire from action movies altogether. As reported on On CC, the actor, who appeared at the promotional event of the said movie in Shanghai recently, shared that martial arts and action are two different genres, and that he will continue to do the latter in his future projects. "Kung fu movies means that the actor must have a kung fu background and perform a choreography that is unique to kung fu movies. I am already tired of doing this kind of movies, but I still have ideas about other types of action films. I hope that the audience will get to see them in the future," he said. Meanwhile, when speaking about his memorable opponents, Donnie named professional boxer Mike Tyson, whom he sparred in the third instalment of the franchise. "He is a legend in the boxing world and I am a big fan of the sports. When I knew I was going to fight him, I was fighting him not only as an actor but as a fan as well." Aside from Mike, he also named Sammo Hung and Max Zhang as his most memorable opponents.
