10 Jul – The upcoming live-action adaptation of the fighting video game series "Mortal Kombat" finally has a confirmed cast attached to star. Indonesian martial arts actor Joe Taslim has closed the deal to star in the reboot, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The 38-year-old, whose works include "The Raid", "Fast and Furious 6", "Star Trek Beyond" and "The Night Comes for Us", has been tapped to play the character Sub-Zero. The superpowered fighter is one of the original characters in the 1992 video game, who is known for his attacks involving ice and long-running rivalry with Kombatant, Scorpion.
