Pahang cinemas temporarily closed due to former Sultan's passing


All four cinemas in Pahang will be closed until this Saturday.

23 May – The state of Pahang is currently in mourning following the passing of former ruler Paduka Ayahanda Sultan Ahmad Shah Al-Musta'in Billah ibni Al Marhum Sultan Abu Bakar Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mu'adzam Shah.

Due to this, cinemas in the state have temporarily closed in respect to the late former Sultan, who passed away yesterday 22 May.


MBO Kuantan City Mall, GSC Berjaya Megamall, GSC East Coast Mall and GSC Mentakab Star Mall have all stopped their operations since yesterday and will remain closed until this Saturday, 25 May 2019.

All four cinemas will resume operations on Sunday, 26 May 2019.

GSC customers will have seven days, starting from this Sunday, to get refunds for their tickets. MBO, meanwhile, advises customers to call its customer care for further information.
