27 Apr - Superstar Rajinikanth is currently busy filming his next movie, "Darbar", set for release next year. It's no secret that actress Nayanthara is starring opposite Rajinikanth in the movie but latest update reveals that another actress has also joined the cast. A recent leaked photo from the movie set shows the actress in a scene with Rajinikanth himself and actor Yogi Babu, as reported by Hindustan Times. The new addition is none other than Nivetha Thomas, a former child star who's continued to have a thriving career in film, having starred in various Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam movies.
Nivetha is rumoured to be playing the daughter of Rajinikanth's character in the movie. Reportedly, Raashi Khanna was considered for the role but it ultimately went to the "Papanasam" actress. "Darbar" marks the first time for Rajinikanth to play a cop since 1992's "Pandian" and the third time for the superstar to act alongside Nayanthara, after "Chandramukhi" and "Kuselan".
