5 Jan – In early December 2018, Ruby Rose made her debut as Batwoman in three CW series as part of its annual Arrow-verse crossover. The 32-year-old Australian actress isn't hanging up her cowl just yet, however, since The CW TV Network has given a pilot order for a spinoff series starring the eponymous masked vigilante, according to Deadline. "Batwoman" will see the actress reprising the superhero role she first played in the three-part episode, "Elseworlds" ("The Flash" Part 1, "Arrow" Part 2, "Supergirl" Part 3). "Game of Thrones" helmer David Nutter will be directing the pilot. If the pilot is a success, the actress will be headlining the series on the CW next season.
When it was announced last summer that Ruby Rose would be playing Batwoman, the response hadn't exactly been positive overall. The actress was even forced to quit Twitter due to the backlash. However, after her appearance in the crossover specials, fans seem to have warmed up to the idea of the actress as the superhero.
