Hopefully you guys can chip in too," the actor posted across several of his social media platforms, such as Facebook and Instagram.

Hemsworth is the latest star to pledge support and use social media to encourage donations. Fellow Aussie star Hugh Jackman previously did the same, as well as other celebrities such as Ellen DeGeneres, Selena Gomez, Charli XCX, Nick Kroll, Kerry Washington, and Elton John, the latter who similarly recently donated USD1 million to support the Bushfire Relief Fund. Australia started being ravaged by massive bushfires since last June, resulting in 28 fatalities so far as reported by CNN, with 3 being volunteer firefighters and 25 (or 24 in other reports) being civilians.
