24 Mar – Good news for "Bad Boys" fans, the third instalment of the action comedy franchise is getting an early digital release! "Bad Boys for Life" will be making its digital debut this 31 March, while the 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD versions will start selling on 21 April. Aside from including over 50 minutes of special features such as extended scenes, outtakes and behind-the-scenes clips, CinemaBlend is reporting that these releases will also feature an alternate ending. Not much info on the alternate ending yet though, since this is of course being kept under wrap until the release. The Will Smith and Martin Lawrence-starrer managed to have its theatrical run prior to cinemas shutting down due to the coronavirus outbreak. Released in January 2020, it raked up USD419 million at the global box office, easily making back its USD90 million production budget. The Sony Pictures title is just the latest to join a long list of 2020 movies that are getting early digital releases, including "The Invisible Man", "Onward", "Birds of Prey", "Sonic the Hedgehog", "The Gentleman" and "Bloodshot". While typically a movie will only get released digitally 90 days after its theatrical release, the temporary closure of most of the cinema chains worldwide has forced studios to opt for release on digital platforms earlier than normal.
