16 Sep – Jackie Chan is never one without an interesting experience when it comes to filming stunts for his films, as he recently recounted again how he nearly drowned on the set of "Vanguard".

As reported on Mingpao, the actor shared the harrowing experience at the press conference of the movie, which is finally releasing after being delayed for months due to COVID-19.

He stated that he was shooting a chase scene on a jet ski with co-star Miya Muqi when it suddenly hit a rock and flipped over.

Both he and Miya tumbled into the water, but unlike the actress, who quickly resurfaced, Jackie himself had gone missing.

It was not until later that the actor was pulled up by the rescue team, looking confused and overwhelmed.

"I didn't remember much what happened. I was pulled to the bottom after the jet ski crashed. Fortunately, I was experienced in such a thing and I told myself not to be afraid. Then I slowly floated up, as if some supernatural forces were helping me," he said.

Jackie admitted that he didn't think it was very serious until he saw director Stanley Tong was in tears as he reached the shore. It was then he found out that he had been gone underwater for 45 seconds.

The actor has previously recounted the near-death experience back when he was promoting the movie in December last year, ahead of its theatrical release in China which was originally scheduled for January 2020 before being delayed for months due to the pandemic.
