7 Apr – Malaysian rapper and "Pekak" actor Joe Flizzow has postponed his wedding following the implementation of the Movement Control Order (MCO) due to the widening COVID-19 outbreak in the country.

Joe, real name Johan Ishak, was supposed to have held his 'akad nikah' yesterday with his fiancée, Marini Ramlan.

"Initially, we wanted to postpone the wedding reception and carry on with the 'akad nikah' ceremony. But, because of the MCO and the terms set by the Federal Territories Islamic Religious Department (JAWI) for wedding ceremonies were quite strict, we had to make the decision to postpone it.

"Besides, Joe said he wanted his wedding ceremony to be festive and attended by the important people in his life," said his mother, Aishah Ali, according to BH Online.

Aishah added that her son's new wedding date will only be confirmed after the government issues the latest order in regard to the MCO.

Joe and Marini got engaged last December, after three years of relationship.
