Kuman Pictures launches horror/thriller short film contest

Bored at home? Join this!

30 Mar – Aspiring filmmakers have something to do at home now, thanks to the recently launched short film contest by Kuman Pictures.

The horror or thriller short film must be filmed entirely at home.

The contest will run until 15 April 2020.

One winner will be picked. The winner will receive a RM1000 prize and the winning short film will be uploaded to Kuman Pictures' YouTube channel.

With a duration of 1 to 10 minutes, the short film can be made in any language. However, participation is open only to Malaysian locals or permanent residents.

With no need for professional equipment, cast and crew (just use your own smartphones and anyone available at home), this the perfect chance even for amateur filmmakers to try their hands at making a short film!

Public domain or royalty-free music are allowed for use in the short film. The finished short film must be uploaded to the participants' own YouTube, Vimeo, TikTok or any social media account and hashtagged with #KumanPicturesChallenge. More info on this can be found on Kuman Pictures' Facebook.
