10 Mar – A couple of days ago, it was revealed that the Dave Bautista-starring "My Spy" has delayed its release in cinemas worldwide. In Malaysia, the action comedy has yet to receive a new release date. Local distributor TGV Pictures stated that due to unforeseen circumstances, the release of the movie has been postponed until further notice. Meanwhile, over on the other side of the world, the movie has been pushed back a month. Previously slated for this 13 March, now it will only open in North American cinemas on 17 April. Variety reported that the move was made to take advantage of the slot left vacant by animated film "Trolls World Tour", which was moved up a week to 10 April, taking over the original release date for "No Time to Die" after the Bond movie was delayed to November. "My Spy" has so far made USD3.1 million on a USD18 million budget, following its release in Australia and New Zealand earlier this year. American distributor STXfilms stated that "the shift gives it an opportunity to expand awareness with an insignificant impact on its media spend." Bautista stars in the movie as a spy who goes undercover to surveil a family. When the daughter discovers his hidden cameras, he begrudgingly agrees to teach her to be a spy in exchange for not blowing his cover.
