19 Jun – At the moment, most producers are facing an uncertain situation when it comes to their new movie releases as the Malaysian government has yet to give the green light to cinemas to resume operations, as the nation is still in the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) phase. However, there are a few producers who are not waiting much longer to release their new movies, the most recent being the producers of horror movie "Town Mall", who have decided to release the movie on on-demand channel Astro First this 25 June. "As the producer, and on behalf of the cast and crew, we eagerly anticipate viewer's reactions. The support received from Astro Shaw in introducing a space for producers to showcase big screen films during this pandemic, has given me more confidence in the potential of this film. "I hope this film encourages more adaptations from horror novels, as these types of films were fairly uncommon," said Produksi Enuja Production producer, Zainuddin Mohd Ismail. "Town Mall" is adapted from Hasrudi Jawawi's popular horror novel of the same name, which in turn was inspired by a true story about a construction project that was left abandoned for 10 years. Helmed by Datuk Seri Eizlan in his feature directorial debut, he also stars in the movie alongside cast members that include Reen Rahim, Intan Ladyana, Nynaa Harizam, Adam Shahz, Dato' Jalaluddin Hassan, Erry Putra and many more. "Town Mall" is the fourth recent movie to be officially premiering on Astro First, following "Manap Karaoke", "Syif Malam Raya" and "Ada Apa Dengan Dosa".
