16 Aug – After much delay, it was revealed that the Amitabh Bachchan starrer, "Chehre" has finally found its theatrical release date. The news was recently shared by Big B himself, posting a teaser on his social media, and wrote, "Caution! You have been warned. Be ready to #FacetheGame... ["Chehre"] releasing on 27 August in cinemas near you." Co-star Emraan Hashmi also posted the good news on 15 August, which marks India's Independence Day, writing, "Today, everybody will celebrate independence."
It is noted that the film has been ready for release for months now, but was put on hold due to the rising cases of COVID-19. Producer Anand Pandit stressed that they will not budge from the decision to release it in theatres despite the situation, saying that the film's magnanimity should be showcased in the right way. Directed by Rumy Jafry, "Chehre" stars Amitabh as a lawyer "with a penchant for a real life game with his group of friends". It also co-stars Rhea Chakraborty, Krystle D'Souza, and Siddhanth Kapoor.
