13 Oct - After winning his second Best Actor award at the Oscars for his role in the heart-wrenching pic, "The Father", it was revealed that Anthony Hopkins is set to reunite with the film's director Florian Zeller in the latter's new project. It was revealed that Zeller has written a role for Hopkins in his upcoming movie, "The Son", which - similar to "The Father" - is based on his play of the same name. Said Zeller, "After our journey on The Father, I couldn't make another film without Anthony. He was the first one to read The Son's script, as one of its characters was written especially for him. Having him by our side to tell this new story has been an honour, a profound joy and very emotional."
"The Son" recently concluded filming in New York, with Hugh Jackman playing the lead as Jack, a man whose life with his new partner and baby is thrown into disarray after his ex-wife appears with their teenage son. The movie co-stars Vanessa Kirby as his young wife, Laura Dern as his ex-wife, and Zen McGrath. No news as to what character Hopkins, who plays a man with dementia in the Oscar nominated "The Father", will play in the new movie.
