26 Apr - Now that the Disney+ Marvel miniseries, "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier" has concluded, it is revealed that a new "Captain America" is currently in the works. Malcolm Spellman, head writer and creator of the aforementioned show is revealed to be developing a fourth instalment of the Captain America film franchise for Marvel Studios. No information about casting has been revealed yet, though it is likely that Sam Wilson/Falcon, the current wielder of the Captain America shield, may have a big role in it. However, as always, Marvel Studios is keeping mum about the whole thing.
The character is played by Anthony Mackie in various Marvel movies beginning with "Captain America: The Winter Soldier", before he became one of the titular leads in the said Disney+ miniseries. Chris Evans previously played "Captain America" in all three movies, "Captain America: The First Avenger" (2011), "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" (2014) and "Captain America: Civil War" (2016), before retiring the role in "Avengers: Endgame".
