3 Dec – Amid speculations about the fate of Spider-Man following the upcoming "Spider-Man: No Way Home", producer Amy Pascal recently assured that it will not be the last movie with Marvel. Speaking to Fandango about the issue, Pascal stated that they are ready to make the next Spider-Man movie with Tom Holland and Marvel. "We're thinking of this as three films, and now we're going to go on to the next three. This is not the last of our MCU movies," she assured. "Marvel and Sony are going to keep going together as partners."
It is noted that Spider-Man's rights does not belong to Disney as with the other Marvel characters, but with Sony, which has made five Spider-Man films since 2002. It was in 2015 that the two companies made an agreement to allow the character to be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, in exchange for Marvel Studios to co-produce Spider-Man films set in the same universe for Sony. However, the future of the collaboration is as rocky as it has always been, seeing that both Sony and Disney had disputed over profit-sharing in the past. As to whether Holland's Spider-Man will appear in Sony-produced films like "Venom" and "Morbius", Pascal simply responded, "We all want to keep making movies together." "Spider-Man: No Way Home" will be released on 17 December.
