17 Nov – After much anticipation, Baz Luhrmann ("Moulin Rouge", "The Great Gatsby") recently shared the first look of his new biopic, "Elvis" as a way to announce the new release date for the said movie.

On 16 November, the Australian filmmaker tweeted a clip from the upcoming movie, featuring Austin Butler in the role of the King of Rock and Roll himself, Elvis Presley.

In it, the actor could be seen walking towards the stage in the trademark Elvis strut, as the song "Suspicious Minds" plays over the image.

The upcoming movie, penned by Luhrmann alongside his "Moulin Rouge" collaborator Craig Pearce and Sam Bromell, tells the story of Elvis through the complicated relationship he had with his manager Colonel Tom Parker (played by Tom Hanks).

It also stars David Wenham and Oliva DeJonge - the latter playing the role of Priscilla Presley.

Although it was originally scheduled for a 3 June 2022 release, it has now being pushed back to 24 June 2022.
