Marvel's "Eternals" heading for USD 75 mil opening weekend in the US

5 Nov – Despite the lacklustre initial review, it looks like Marvel's "Eternals" is heading for a USD 75 million opening weekend in the US.

The movie, directed by Chloe Zhao, is now the second-best ticket pre-seller among blockbusters released in theatres, with USD 13 million in ticket sales already - behind only "Black Widow" when it comes to MCU presales.

Nonetheless, the projected USD 75 million is quite a downslide considering experts previously projected a USD 80 million opening weekend for the movie.

The decline might have been caused by the mixed reviews that the film has received so far.

The movie, which stars big names including Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Salma Hayek, Kit Harington, and Gemma Chan, will be released on 5 November.
