5 Jul – Vin Diesel recently confirmed that there is another "Fast and Furious" spin-off currently in the making, and it would revolve around Charlize Theron's character, Cipher. In an interview with Variety recently, Diesel stated that they are currently working on a script for a Cipher movie, though made no mention about what it would be and how it would fit into the larger franchise. The cyberterrorist character, played by Theron, was first introduced in "The Fate of the Furious" (2017), though the name Cipher has been referred to many times as someone who is pulling the strings in earlier films. She is also described as an adept hacker who manages to keep her identity from becoming public knowledge.
If the project comes to fruition, this would be the second movie character played by Charlize Theron to have its own spin-off, after George Miller's Furiosa. On the other hand, "Fast and Furious 10" is set to begin filming early next year and will be broken into two parts.
