25 Jun – Just as the fifth instalment of the "Indiana Jones" franchise began production, it was reported that titular star Harrison Ford has been injured. Deadline reported that the 78 year-old star has hurt himself while rehearsing a fight scene for the movie, though no details have been released regarding the extent of the injury except that it involves his shoulder. In a statement released by Disney, it expressed, "In the course of rehearsing for a fight scene, Harrison Ford sustained an injury involving his shoulder. Production will continue while the appropriate course of treatment is evaluated, and the filming schedule will be reconfigured as needed in the coming weeks." This means that director James Mangold will be shooting the movie around Ford while the actor is undergoing treatment, with decisions on filming schedule to be determined in the coming weeks.
It is noted that "Indiana Jones 5" was originally scheduled for release on 29 July 2022. Filming is currently underway in Pinewood and other locations in the UK, with Ford joined by co-stars Mads Mikkelsen, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and Boyd Holbrook among others. Steven Spielberg serves as producer. Ford is no stranger to getting injured while working on his movie. Back in 2014, the actor's left leg was broken by a hydraulic door while filming "Star Wars: The Force Awakens".
