25 Nov – Despite his previous retirement, animation giant Hayao Miyazaki recently announced that he will be coming out with his very last animated feature. Miyazaki, who is also the founder of Ghibli Studio, is currently working on a fantasy film titled, "How Do You Live?", which will be based on a 1937 novel by Ganzaburo Yoshino about a small 15-year-old boy living in Tokyo following the death of his father. Not much is known about the project, except that Miyazaki has described it as a fantasy "on a grand scale". Asked why he decided to return, the prolific animator responded, "Because I wanted to." It is noted that Miyazaki announced his retirement back in 2013 following his last feature film, "The Wind Roses". However, he did return in 2018 to make the short film, "Boro the Caterpillar". No news as to when the upcoming movie will be released.
