24 Mar – Veteran actress Helen Mirren is set to join the sequel to the 2019 DC Extended Universe's "Shazam!" The actress will be playing the role of the villain Hespera, the daughter of Atlas in the upcoming movie, titled, "Shazam! Fury of the Gods", and will work alongside newcomer Rachel Zegler - who reportedly will play her sister. The upcoming movie will be helmed by David F. Sandberg with a screenplay by Henry Gayden.
On the other hand, Zachary Levi will again reprise his role as the titular character - the adult version of teenager Billy Batson who transforms into a superhero with the powers of six gods. The upcoming movie is set for 2023 release. Mirren's last released film was the 2020 comedy drama, "The Duke". Her latest film, "F9" (also known as "Fast & Furious 9"); where she reprises her role of Jason Statham's Deckard Shaw's mother Queenie Shaw, is currently in post-production.
