11 Mar – MGM has now found the perfect director for "Creed 3", and it looks like Adonis Creed himself Michael B. Jordan will be helming the said project. The actor, who played the titular character in the first and second films, will be making his directorial debut through the third instalment of the Creed franchise, which was previously helmed by Ryan Coogler and Steven Caple Jr. Said Jordan, "Directing has always been an aspiration, but the timing had to be right. Creed 3 is that moment - a time in my life where I've grown more sure of who I am, holding agency in my own story, maturing personally, growing professionally, and learning from the Greats like Ryan Coogler, most recently Denzel Washington, and other top tier directors I respect. All of which sets the table for this moment." "This franchise and in particular the themes of Creed III are deeply personal to me. I look forward to sharing the next chapter of Adonis Creed's story with the awesome responsibility of being its director and namesake," he added.
"Creed 3", which will also see the return of Tessa Thompson and Phylicia Rashad, will be released in November 2022. No news as to whether Sylvester Stallone will be back as Rocky Balboa. In the meantime, Jordan is currently working on Denzel Washington's "Journal for Jordan", and will be seen in the action thriller, "Without Remorse", to be released this year.
