6 Aug – Hey, remember that time that Kit Harington checked himself into a wellness centre ahead of "Game of Thrones" finale?

The actor, who played Jon Snow in the series, recently revealed that the hit HBO series was part of the reason why he decided he needed some R&R from the public.

"I went through some mental health difficulties after Thrones, and during the end of Thrones, to be honest," Harington admitted during an interview on SiriusXM's The Jess Cagle Show. "I think it was directly due to the nature of the show and what I had been doing for years."

The couple welcomed their first child in February this year

Harington stated that he made the decision to take a year's break after the show so that he could concentrate on himself.

"I was like 'I don't want to work for a year, I want to really concentrate on myself'. I'm really happy I did that," the actor explained.

However, a good rest and one healthy baby boy later, Harington is now back to working again. The actor appeared on the UK series, "Criminal: UK" last year, joined the cast of romantic anthology series "Modern Love", and will soon be seen in the Marvel movie, "Eternals", helmed by Oscar-winning director Chloe Zhao.
