15 Jun – Korean actor Park Seo-joon was recently revealed to have been cast in the upcoming "Captain Marvel" sequel, "The Marvels". The news came from Korean outlet Star News, which stated that the "What's Wrong with Secretary Kim?" star will be leaving for the United States in the second half of this year to begin filming the movie, after completing his current project, "Concrete Utopia". No news as to what character Park will play in the movie.
It is noted that Park was a part of the Academy Awards' Best Film winner, "Parasite", though appeared only several minutes in the film. The upcoming movie, which sees Brie Larson returning as Captain Marvel aka Carol Danvers, has also cast Teyonah Parris and Iman Vellani as female superheroes Monica Rambeau and Kamala Khan respectively. On the other hand, Zawe Ashton was reportedly cast as the main villain. It is set to release in November 2022.
