29 Jul - After getting movie offers left and right since "Bridgerton" albeit in supporting roles, Regé-Jean Page is set to make his first major starring role in the upcoming movie, "The Saint". The actor, who is also executive producer, will star in the re-imagined version of the said 1960 Roger Moore series (and 1997 Val Kilmer movie of the same name), which follows Simon Templar/The Saint - a Robin Hood-esque criminal for heir who goes on globe-trotting adventures. The upcoming project, which will be helmed by Dexter Fletcher, will be produced by Lorenzo DiBonaventura, Brad Krevoy and Mark Vahradian. It was originally set to star Chris Pine, though the said iteration has now been shelved. This will also be Page's second project with Paramount following "Dungeons & Dragons".
It is noted that "The Saint" is originally an adventure series of novels by Leslie Charteris that were released in the early 20th century.
