15 Sep – "Knives Out" director Rian Johnson recently announced that filming of the sequel to the sleeper hit has already wrapped up. In a Twitter post dated 13 September in which the filmmaker expressed his excitement about director Leos Carax's new movie, he wrote, "We just wrapped production on the next Benoit Blanc mystery and also I finally watched Annette and holy shit it's amazing." "Sending so much love and gratitude to our INCREDIBLE crew and cast and Leos Carax!" he added.
It is noted that the second movie, which will see the return of Daniel Craig as detective Benoit Blanc, also stars the likes of Dave Bautista, Kathryn Hahn, Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Leslie Odom Jr., and Kate Hudson. Johnson was also called upon to write and direct the sequel, which will be released on Netflix. The third instalment has also been greenlit by the streamer, though no news as to when it will begin filming.
