2 Dec – "Spider-Man: No Way Home" has recently broken the TGV record by accumulating the biggest number of advanced ticket sales post-MCO era. The movie, which is set to be released on 16 December, got fans flooding the TGV website and mobile app, causing servers to slow down, in order to get to watch the movie as soon as it's in theatres. Mohit Bhargava, TGV General Manager Sales & Marketing said, "Sales in just 48 hours have already doubled the lifetime pre-sales of any other blockbusters records post-MCO. This is definitely a record-breaking feat, considering the fact that we are operating with limited seating capacities and sessions due to prolonged cleaning and sanitisation in-halls." On the other hand, a spokesperson from Sony Pictures Entertainment (Malaysia) stated that the studio is impressed by the result and happy with the reception from Malaysian fans. With the impressive pre-sales records, "Spider-Man: No Way Home" has definitely become the highest-grossing release of the pandemic era and is almost on par with "Avengers: Endgame" on a global scale. This is no small feat considering the fourth Avengers flick was the highest-grossing film in history for a time.
