24 May – Producer Deborah Snyder recently revealed that millions of dollars were invested to replace Chris D'Elia with another actor in Zack Snyder's new zombie action flick, "Army of the Dead", which is currently number one on Netflix

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Snyder stated that the decision came easily for them and for Netflix, after D'Elia was accused by multiple women of sexually harassing underage girls. The comedian had already filmed his character as the helicopter pilot at the time.

"It was an expensive one, that's for sure," said Snyder, "I will say, Netflix did the right thing. They put their money where their mouth is."

D'Elia was replaced by comedienne Tig Notaro, whose character pilot Marianne Peters in the movie was added digitally in post production. It meant that she had to film her scenes by herself, and had not even met her co-stars.

Co-star Dave Bautista also admitted that it felt strange that he had not met Notaro even though they starred in the same movie and have their characters interacting in several scenes.

"Anybody who doesn't know that that's the case won't pick up on it at all. Tig fits right in, and her chemistry fits right in. What really bothers me, when I watch this film - it bothers me that I don't know Tig. I feel like I should know her. I want to meet her, and I want to hug her and tell her how amazing she was in the film. I've been able to do that with all my other co-stars, and I haven't been able to do it with Tig because I haven't met her yet. I think she's amazing and is incredible in the film," he said.
