8 Dec – Following the success of "Venom: Let There Be Carnage", producer Amy Pascal recently confirmed that there will be movie number three for the said anti-hero. The Sony producer shared the news during an interview with Collider, stating that the third film is currently in the works. "We are in the planning stages right now but what we are focused on is getting everybody to come and see No Way Home," she said.
It is noted that both lead actor Tom Hardy and director Andy Serkis previously expressed their confidence about a third film, saying that such a movie would usually come in threes. "I mean, I think there's so much potential in the Venom-verse for really interesting journeys before the kind of the inevitable happens..." said Serkis. "I think Kelly and Tom have been thinking about what is the next stage of the journey anyway. They would have thought of... They would have had some plans for where they could possibly go after this... You've got to. When you're going into a franchise, you've got to think about the arc, of course. You can't think about them just individually."
The second movie, which was released in September 2021, grossed over USD 483.2 million at the box office and is currently the second highest grossing film of 2021 in the United States and Canada.
