21 Feb – Rumours are rife that Aishwarya Rai is set to reunite with Tamil superstar Rajinikanth in his upcoming movie. Sources recently stated that the actress is now in talks to play the female lead in the new movie, which will be Rajini's 169th project and the first one since "Annaatthe". The two previously worked together in the 2010 sci-fi film, "Enthiran", which became one of the highest grossing Indian films in history. Ash is also set to make her Tamil comeback with Mani Ratnam's "Ponniyin Selvan", with the first of the two parts to be released sometime this year. It was just a few days ago that Sun Pictures announced Rajinikanth's new project, dubbed "Thalaivar 169" (Thalaivar being one of Rajini's nickname) via a special video, revealing that the upcoming movie will be directed by Nelson Dilipkumar who also helmed "Doctor" and "Beast".
