"Black Adam" fails to be Dwayne Johnson's biggest box office haul

21 Nov – Although it broke the record as his best opening number throughout his acting career, it seems that "Black Adam" has not succeeded in surpassing Dwayne Johnson's other blockbuster movies in terms of overall numbers.

The movie, which is now in its fifth week in theatres globally, has made USD 366 million worldwide, though the number is quite unimpressive compared to rival superhero film, "Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever", which has already surpassed the USD 500 million mark in just ten days.

While it is now tied with another DC movie, "Shazam!", which made USD 366.1 million at the box office in 2019, "Black Adam" was made with twice the budget that the previous Zachary Levi-starrer had.

"Wakanda Forever" has already surpassed the USD 500m mark

For the time being, The Rock's highest box office number remains to be the two "Fast and Furious" movies, with "Furious 7" making USD 1.5 billion at the box office, and "The Fate of the Furious" accumulating USD 1.2 billion.

Followed behind are his two "Jumanji" movies, released in 2017 and 2019, respectively.

"Furious 7" is still Dwayne Johnson's biggest haul
