4 Apr – The Golden Raspberry Awards (the Razzies) recently announced that it will be rescinding the award it has given to Bruce Willis in light of his struggle with aphasia.

In a statement released following the Willis family's announcement about the actor's retirement, the organiser stated that they made the decision after much thought and consideration.

"If someone's medical condition is a factor in their decision making and/or their performance, we acknowledge that it is not appropriate to give them a Razzie," said the parody award. "The category was never meant to be an on-going part of the Razzies. So, it will not be repeated."

Willis was nominated for eight of his performances this year in a special category called "Worst Performance by Bruce Willis in a 2021 Movie", and named his straight-to-video film, "Cosmic Sin" the winner.

It was just last week that Willis' family, including ex-wife Demi Moore, released a joint statement saying that the actor is stepping away from his career due to his condition, which affects his cognitive abilities.
